‘A race in the name of the nation’ youth marathon held in Jhunjhunu on the centenary of RSS

Jhunjhunu. To commemorate the centenary of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, “Ek Run Rashtra Ke Naam” youth marathon was organized at Jhunjhunu district headquarters on Saturday. The program began with offering floral tributes at the Martyrs Memorial and lighting of lamps in front of the portrait of Bharat Mata. After this, a marathon was taken out from Martyr Memorial to Seth Motilal College Sports Stadium, in which a large number of youth wearing saffron T-shirts participated.

RSS Rajasthan regional pracharak Nimbaram, District Sangh driver Mansingh, Municipal Sangh driver Anup Gadia, Vishwa Hindu Parishad national officer Mahamandaleshwar Dr. Arjundas Maharaj and Jaipur province co-campaigner Vishal and other officials were present in the program.

In his address, regional campaigner Nimbaram said that the youth of India is imbued with the spirit of nation first and they should make nation building their goal along with personal success. He said that if an atmosphere of unrest and anarchy is created in the society, the pace of development gets affected. The need of the hour is for the society to be organized, cultured and powerful. He said that some people, under the influence of personal interests or foreign conspiracies, try to mislead the society, which affects national and social security. Calling upon the youth, he said that not only individual career but also the feeling of “Country is my career” should be developed.

Referring to the opposition of the Sangh, Nimbaram said that in the last 101 years, there were many attempts to stop and end the organization. He claimed that statements like “will bury four feet in the ground” and “will not allow saffron to be hoisted” were made about the Sangh, but with time those making such claims were left behind, while today the Sangh is functioning at more than one lakh places across the country through shakhas and various social activities. He said that the objective of the Sangh is to prepare good citizens inspired by patriotism.

He also mentioned the challenges facing the country like population imbalance, increasing drug addiction and social disintegration and said that to solve these problems, the youth will have to rise above political differences and work in the interest of society. According to him, nation building not only means material development but also environmental protection, social harmony, performance of civic duties, indigenous thinking and best conduct.

National Officer of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Mahamandaleshwar Dr. Arjundas Maharaj said that the objective of Youth Marathon is to develop the values of patriotism, discipline, service spirit and character building among the youth. He said that only healthy and aware youth can serve the nation effectively.
