Jemimah Rodrigues Ruled Out of The Hundred With Hamstring Injury

The Indian batter Jemimah Rodrigues has been ruled out of the Hundred 2026 after sustaining a hamstring injury.

The 25-year old who joined Southern Brave for £60,000 has been performing consistently, scoring 143 runs in six innings, putting up the side as one of the top teams in the Hundred Women’s 2026 points table.

Her best performance came against Sunrisers, where she lit up the chase with an unbeaten 42 off 34 balls. Her knock helped the side to a five-wicket victory.

Jemimah made another decisive contribution against MI London, smashing 32 runs off 22 deliveries, as Brave successfully defended the target by one run.

She has earned two player of the match awards for her exploits. Brave have two more games before the playoffs and are set to play against Manchester Super Giants and the Rockets.

His injury also put a worry on her availability for the Women’s Asia Cup, starting in the UAE at the end of the month.

“We can confirm that due to an injury suffered by Jemimah Rodrigues, we’ve signed Charli Knott as our injury replacement for the remainder of The Hundred. Wishing you a speedy recovery, Jemi,” Southern Brave posted on X.

The women’s Asia Cup starts on August 28 with India playing its first game against Thailand on August 30.

The extent of Rodrigues’ hamstring injury has yet to be ascertained, and this could be a precautionary measure to preserve her fitness and prevent further damage.

Meanwhile, Australian all-rounder Charli Knott will be replacing injured Rodrigues and will be returning to Utilita Bowl after featuring for them in the 2024 edition.

Charli Knott has been in good form in the T20 format, scoring 404 runs and 27 wickets for The Blaze in their Vitality Blast-winning campaign.
