Roma discussing Castro deal with Bologna after Tresoldi rejection

Roma are reportedly in direct contact with Bologna to discuss a potential deal for centre-forward Santiago Castro after seeing an offer for Niccolo Tresoldi rejected by Club Brugge.

Roma in talks with Bologna over Castro deal

The Giallorossi are on the hunt for new attacking reinforcements this summer, and a new centre-forward to replace the unwanted Artem Dovbyk is quickly becoming a priority.

Recent reports claimed that Roma had seen an offer of €35m for Italian-born Germany youth international Tresoldi turned down by his current employers at Club Brugge, and though the Giallorossi have not walked away from the Tresoldi deal, Saturday’s updates claim that they are also exploring a potential deal for Bologna’s Castro.

According to reports from Alfredo Pedullà Roma representatives have spoken directly with their counterparts at Bologna to discuss a potential deal for Castro, who is valued in the region of €30m.

Pedullà claims that the price tag is negotiable and that the Giallorossi are now inclined to proceed in negotiations for Castro.
