Popular actor Mrunal Thakur, aged 34, is grabbing headlines after she was allegedly spotted with Indian cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal, aged 24. The duo became the centre of attraction and a talking point on the internet after a video of them at a café in Bandra West, Mumbai, went viral. The clip has fuelled dating speculation, with fans curious to know if there is more than friendship to their meeting.
In the viral video, Mrunal was seen at the café, where she was seen exiting the café with a smile playing on her lips, and he headed straight to the car. Mrunal stayed back. Several posts online started with “what’s cooking”, “new couple in town” and more.
Days after the dating rumours, Mrunal slammed social media reports and has finally put the rumours to rest. Reacting to a post discussing the viral video, Mrunal questioned why people were assuming that she and Yashasvi were together simply because they were spotted at the same location.
“Bro relax… show me ek sath kahan? Kaise yaar, aap log itne padhe likhe log aise afwaao ko sach manne lagte hain?” Mrunal commented on an Instagram page.
Earlier, Mrunal was rumoured to be dating South superstar Dhanush, but the actress repeatedly denied the link-up rumours. At the time, reports also claimed that the two were set to tie the knot in a private ceremony on February 14. However, the date passed without any wedding taking place, making it clear that the reports were unsubstantiated rumours.
Mrunal was last seen in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, alongside Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde in the lead. Mrunal will be seen in Pooja Meri Jaan alongside Huma Qureshi. The courtroom drama is slated for an OTT release on ZEE5, although its release date has not yet been announced.
Yashasvi recently featured in the India vs Afghanistan ODI series and will return for the Test series against Sri Lanka.
