Joao Pedro continued his fine pre-season form with a brace as Chelsea thumped a Ruben Amorim-led AC Milan 3-0 at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia on Saturday, August 8.
Brazilian striker Pedro gave the Blues a two-goal advantage before midfielder Moises Caicedo added a third as it recorded its most impressive result thus far under new coach Xabi Alonso.
He broke the deadlock with a header from an inswinging corner at the end of the first half, before ghosting between defenders to poke home Pedro Neto’s cross shortly after the break to double his tally.
Caicedo added a third minutes later with a volley from the edge of the box.

The match also a first start for new signing Danny Welbeck, who has joined from Brighton and Hove Albion, while Mykhailo Mudryk continued his return with another appearance off the bench.
Alonso is looking to resurrect a Chelsea side that struggled last season, finishing 10th as two managers left during the course of the season.
It had won its first pre-season match against Western Sydney Warriors, but lost the subsequent two against Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus.
