New Delhi. Amidst the ongoing Kanwar Yatra in the month of Sawan, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta displayed a unique spirit. The Chief Minister visited the Kanwar camp, where she welcomed the devotees of Lord Shiva and actively participated in their service. Upon reaching the camp, the Chief Minister showered flowers on the devotees and touched their feet in respect. During the visit, she also inspected the food arrangements being prepared for the devotees. The Chief Minister personally visited the kitchen area, applied ghee to the rotis being prepared for the devotees and participated in the service.
Rekha Gupta stated that the Kanwar Yatra is a symbol of faith, devotion, and dedication. The Delhi government is striving to ensure that all Kanwariyas passing through the capital do not face any inconvenience. She stated that the government has issued instructions to ensure all necessary arrangements, including drinking water, electricity, medical facilities, sanitation, and security, at the Kanwar camps.
Chief Minister Engaged in Serving the Kanwariyas
The Chief Minister visited the Kanwar camp and actively participated in the service of the devotees of Shiva. She welcomed the Kanwariyas present at the camp with flowers and expressed her respect by touching their feet. Seeing the Chief Minister’s emotional gesture, the devotees present at the camp also greeted her. During this time, Rekha Gupta inspected the arrangements made at the camp and also observed the food preparation process. She personally visited the kitchen area, applied ghee to the rotis being prepared for the Kanwariyas and participated in the service.
Thousands of Kanwariyas Arrive in Delhi
The Chief Minister said that a large number of Shiva devotees are arriving in Delhi during the ongoing Kanwar Yatra in the month of Sawan. For the convenience of the devotees, several Kanwariya camps have been set up in various areas of the capital, where essential facilities such as food, drinking water, medical assistance, and rest are being provided. The Delhi government welcomes and congratulates all Kanwariyas and Shiva devotees. She said that the Kanwar Yatra is a grand festival of faith and devotion, and the government is making continuous efforts to ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience during the journey. The Chief Minister stated that various departments have been instructed to work in coordination to ensure smooth functioning of all arrangements, including traffic, sanitation, security, and health services. He stated that the government’s priority is to ensure a safe, convenient, and orderly journey for the Kanwariyas.
Amenities Arranged at Every Camp
Necessary facilities have been provided at the Kanwar camps and pandals established in the capital to ensure that devotees of Lord Shiva do not face any difficulties during the journey. He stated that drinking water, electricity, medical assistance, resting places, and other essential amenities have been arranged in each camp. In addition, necessary financial assistance is being provided to the organizing committees to ensure smooth operation of the camps. The Chief Minister stated that special attention has been paid to cleanliness, sanitation, and traffic management to ensure the safety and convenience of the devotees. The concerned departments have been instructed to maintain constant monitoring and provide immediate assistance if needed.
394 Kanwar Camps Operating in Delhi
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that 394 Kanwar Camps are currently operating in the capital during the Kanwar Yatra. Various essential facilities have been arranged for the large number of Shiva devotees arriving at these camps to ensure a smooth and safe journey. The Delhi administration has provided basic amenities such as drinking water, electricity, medical assistance, resting places, and food at the Kanwar camps. Special arrangements have been made to maintain cleanliness around the camps, and relevant departments have been instructed to regularly monitor them. The Chief Minister also stated that extensive arrangements have been made to ensure smooth traffic flow during the Kanwar Yatra. Traffic police and other relevant agencies are continuously monitoring various routes to ensure minimal inconvenience to devotees and the general public.
Delhi Ready to Welcome Shiva Devotees
The Chief Minister stated that Delhi is fully prepared to welcome all Shiva devotees carrying Kanwars. He stated that the administration has made extensive preparations to ensure the convenience, safety, and respect of the devotees.
