This year, Mahindra is set to host a grand independence day event in Mumbai. Several new product reveals and launches are expected this time, one of which will be the production-version of BE07 electric SUV. The latest spy sighting has confirmed that the electric SUV will be equipped with a triple-screen setup like what we see in the XEV 9S and 9E.
In the spy video, we can see two camouflaged test mules driving along a crowded road. The video was shot under low light conditions. It is difficult to deduce the design details due to this and the camouflage. However, the overall stance and silhouette remains identical to those of the BE07 concept shown previously.
As the second car passes the camera, we notice the presence of a large screen cluster. It seems to have the triple-screen cluster- a larger central infotainment touchscreen, fully digital instrument cluster, and a front passenger display. The exact sizes of these are not known. 12.3-inches likely.
The BE6 needs no introduction today. We know how sporty a car it is and just how different its design feels. The BE family now has two members- the BE6 and BE6 FE. The BE07 is set to become the third. It was first shown as a concept in 2022, the year in which Mahindra first announced its INGLO platform. People have since been waiting for this SUV.
The BE07 will likely be a more civil version of the BE6. It will be a bigger, more practical, family-focused five-seater electric SUV. It will not be as sharply styled as the BE6. As can be seen in this video, it has a more upright design. It has a solid road presence.

The electric SUV will come with LED lighting, frameless doors with large windows(as indicated by previous spy sightings), aero-optimized alloy wheels (likely 19-inch units), integrated side step, flush-type door handles, and a sharp rake for the rear windshield. The front will have a closed-off grille section and sleek air vents, styling of which will align with that of the BE family. The front windshield will have a steep rake.

The carmaker hasn’t given out data on the BE07’s dimensions yet. We know that the concept was 4,565 mm long, 1,900 mm wide and 1660 mm tall. It had a wheelbase of 2775mm. If these are carried over, the BE07’s production version will be bigger than the BE6. It will be positioned between the BE6 and the upcoming BE09, a three-row electric SUV.
All these mean that the BE07 will have a spacious cabin. It will look modern and will have a long list of features. The overall design, from what we have seen in spy images, is likely to stay close to that of the concept. It is likely to get a low-set dashboard, floating drive mode buttons, and a dedicated place to keep the key.
In addition to the triple screen setup, the electric SUV will also come with features like connected car technology, a large, panoramic sunroof, ventilated, electrically adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control, 360-degree camera, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, premium audio system with Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) mounts and more. Of course, these are all speculations for now, as Mahindra hasn’t revealed the BE07’s interior officially.

Like the other members of the BE and XEV families, the BE07 will also be based on Mahindra’s in-house developed INGLO platform. This high-voltage modular skateboard platform is capable of supporting various top hats and vehicle sizes. The battery packs are likely to be borrowed from the other Electric Origin models- 59kWh, 70kWh and 79kWh are likely to be made available on the BE07. The range could be over 600 km for the bigger ones. We lack clarity on the powertrain outputs.
From what is known, the BE07’s production model will compete with the likes of Tata Harrier.EV and higher variants of the Sierra.EV. Both these are popular products. Mahindra is likely to price the BE07 sharply to secure an edge in the competition.
