Shameful record registered in the name of Abhishek Sharma
With this disappointing performance, Abhishek Sharma has become the seventh Indian batsman to score the least runs in any T20 series in which at least 3 matches have been played. Before Abhishek, this record was held in the name of India’s current T20 captain Shreyas Iyer, who had scored only 14 runs in the T20 series against West Indies in 2019.
Apart from this, Abhishek Sharma has become the fourth opener of India who could not touch double figures in 4 innings of four consecutive T20 matches. Earlier, in the third and T20 match against England, he was out after scoring just 3 runs.
Flopped in the third match also
Abhishek Sharma once again proved to be a flop in the third and last T20 match against Zimbabwe. In this match, he was out on the bowling of Blessing Muzarabani after scoring just 2 runs in 4 balls. Earlier, he was out after scoring only 1 run in the first T20 match and only 8 runs in the second T20 match.
