According to a BCCI source, “The board will soon contact the Indian government.” The source stated that the future status of the tour will become clear only after receiving permission and clarity from the government. No final decision has been made yet on whether to cancel or postpone the tour. The source added, “We are working on this and will contact the government for permission and clarity regarding the Bangladesh tour. At this time, we cannot make any decisions on our own. No decision has been made yet, but the government will be contacted soon.” Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has also written to the BCCI. Both boards are in constant contact and discussions are ongoing regarding the proposed series. The BCB hopes that clarity regarding the tour will emerge soon.
