Chhattisgarh News: An inspiring picture of change and rehabilitation in Chhattisgarh was seen in the capital Raipur. On the occasion of National Handloom Day, the rehabilitated daughters of Chintalnar in Sukma showcased their talent for the first time on the capital’s big stage in a fashion show organized at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium. They walked the ramp in traditional Chhattisgarh handloom garments along with Miss India East Anushka Son.
The event wasn’t just a fashion show, but also showcased the story of these daughters’ new lives and transforming self-confidence. Emerging from an environment once marked by violence and insecurity and embarking on the path of rehabilitation, these girls confidently showcased their talents on stage.
Showcased his talent on the big stage for the first time
For the first time in Chhattisgarh, through the initiative of the Village Industries Department, the rehabilitated daughters of Chintalnar in Sukma were given the opportunity to showcase their talent on such a grand stage in the capital. Their ramp walk, dressed in traditional handloom garments, brought together Chhattisgarh’s culture and a new story of rehabilitation.
Mrs. Punem Deve, Mrs. Madvi Deve, Mrs. Madvi Malle, Mrs. Medium Gangi, Miss Madvi Nandani, Miss Dondi Rame, Miss Madkam Bheeme, Miss Podiyam Raje, Miss Punem Jyoti and Miss Hidme Markam participated in this program.
The Chief Minister and the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly encouraged
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh also praised the talent of these daughters at the event. Both of them met the rehabilitated daughters on stage and encouraged them. They also expressed their happiness at this initiative by the Village Industries Department.
