The handover took place on July 26 at the Dak Nong Aluminum Electrolysis Plant in Lam Dong Province during a ceremony organized by Tran Hong Quan Metallurgy Co., Ltd. Under the agreement, Stavian Industrial Metal will serve as one of the official distributors of the products.

The first commercial shipment marks the start of domestic distribution of primary aluminum produced in Vietnam and represents a milestone in the development of the country’s aluminum supply chain.
“We expect the project to strengthen domestic raw material supply while supporting Vietnam’s manufacturing and processing industries,” said Nguyen Minh Tu, vice chairman of Stavian Group and chairman of Stavian Industrial Metal.

The company said it plans to leverage Stavian Group’s network across more than 100 countries and territories to connect Vietnamese manufacturers with global supply chains and expand international market access for domestically produced metal products.

The Dak Nong Aluminum Electrolysis Plant is Vietnam’s first aluminum smelting facility, with an annual production capacity of 450,000 metric tons.
The production of the country’s first primary aluminum ingots completes Vietnam’s domestic bauxite-alumina-primary aluminum value chain, providing a local source of primary aluminum and laying the groundwork for greater integration of the country’s aluminum industry into regional and global supply chains.
