The Giallorossi had positioned themselves as the hot favourites to bring in Endrick, in case Real Madrid were to agree to a loan for this season in a similar situation to Franco Mastantuono at Fiorentina.
They were confident that their presence in the Champions League and promise to provide regular playing time would put them in pole position.
Roma risk losing Endrick race

However, Diario AS now report that Aston Villa have stepped forward with a proposal to take Endrick too.
The striker has no problem with being loaned out, as his time playing for Olympique Lyonnais was crucial to earn a spot at the 2026 World Cup under Carlo Ancelotti, scoring eight goals with seven assists in just 21 games.
Real Madrid paid €35m to buy him from Palmeiras two years ago, along with up to a further €25m in add-ons.

His €5m per season salary would also be partly covered by the Merengues during this loan, as otherwise it would be completely unfeasible for Roma.
