4:30 pm: The Kings are waiving Isaiah Stevenswho was on a two-way contract, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype (Twitter link).
Stevens, who starred in college for Colorado State, went undrafted in 2024 and initially signed an Exhibit 10 training camp deal with Miami prior to being waived before the 2024/25 campaign began. He signed a two-way deal with the Heat in late December of 2024 and finished out his rookie season on that agreement.
The 5’11” point guard parted ways with Miami last summer when he signed a two-way contract with the Kings. He spent all of 2025/26 on that two-way pact, but only made three NBA appearances, the same as his rookie campaign.
While Stevens’ NBA role has been quite modest to this point, he has been a productive player in the G League each of the past two seasons. In 33 combined games (33.6 minutes per game) with the Stockton Kings in ’25/26, the 25-year-old averaged 14.5 points, 8.6 assists (against 2.6 turnovers), 3.4 rebounds and 0.8 steals on .470/.292/.850 shooting splits.
Waiving Stevens will create a two-way opening for Sacramento, which still has Adam Flagler and Jonathan Mogbo on two-way deals. Both of those players signed two-year, two-way contracts with the Kings this summer.
