Gold has received support due to reducing tension between America and Iran and softening of crude oil prices. At the same time, a slight decline was recorded in silver prices after two days of stability.

In the capital Delhi, 24 carat gold has become costlier by Rs 940 and 22 carat gold by Rs 860 in the last two days. Today, a slight increase of Rs 10 each has been recorded in the price of 24 and 22 carat gold in Delhi. On the other hand, one kg of silver has become cheaper by Rs 100 to Rs 2,39,900 per kg.

Silver became cheaper after two days of stability

In major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai, one kg silver is being sold cheaper by Rs 100 and is being sold at Rs 2,39,900 per kg. Earlier, on June 25, an increase of Rs 5 thousand was recorded in silver and on July 24, a fall of Rs 5 thousand was recorded.

What is the reason for the rise of gold?

According to Saumil Gandhi, Senior Commodity Analyst at HDFC Securities, crude oil prices have come down due to reduced tension in West Asia, due to which gold has strengthened. Apart from this, weakness in the US dollar and fall in US bond yields also supported gold prices. However, due to the strengthening of the rupee, the rise in the domestic market remained limited.

According to Pranab Mer, Senior Vice President, JM Financial Services, in the coming days, the situation in West Asia, Eurozone, Japan and America’s inflation data will decide the direction of the market.

Apart from this, investors will also keep an eye on the figures of America’s GDP, consumer confidence and weekly jobless claims. Besides, the decisions on interest rates of the Federal Reserve, Bank of England and Bank of Japan will also play an important role in determining the further movement of gold and silver prices.
