Do not eat these 5 things even by mistake during monsoon, otherwise you will become victim of serious diseases and food poisoning.

The rainy season brings with it many problems, ranging from cold to diseases like dengue and malaria. But apart from all this, some special fruits and vegetables can also spoil your health in this season. According to Dr. Sugeeta Mutreja, dietitian of Arogya Diet and Nutrition Clinic, due to increase in moisture and humidity in monsoon, fungus, mold and bacteria start growing rapidly in fruits and vegetables, due to which the person can become a victim of food poisoning or serious infection.

Green leafy vegetables like spinach, fenugreek and mustard should be completely avoided during rainy days, because there is a risk of insects and harmful larvae growing in them due to moisture. Similarly, brinjal crop also gets fungal infection and mold due to moisture, hence one should avoid eating rotten or moldy brinjal. Mushroom lovers should also take special care in this season, because due to humidity, bacteria develop very quickly in it.

Special summer fruits like watermelon and mango should also be consumed with caution during monsoon. Bacteria and fungus easily grow in watermelons and mangoes that are kept outside for a long time or are cut, which can cause serious stomach problems. If you have to consume them, always use them fresh and after washing them thoroughly. During monsoon, even a little carelessness can cost your health, so be especially careful about your eating habits.
