Manchester Super Giants (MSG) produced a dominant performance against Sunrisers Leeds (SRL) in The Hundred Men’s 2026with Tim Seifert providing one of the most entertaining moments of the contest. The New Zealand batter smashed three consecutive sixes during a spectacular passage of play in the second innings. Seifert took the attack to Brydon Carsemaking full use of his power and improvisation as Manchester Super Giants raced towards a comfortable victory.

The explosive sequence came during the seventh, eighth and ninth balls of Manchester Super Giants’ chase. Seifert first backed away to a short delivery from Carse and struck it cleanly over long-off for a huge six. The batter followed it up with another maximum from the next delivery. Carse bowled a low full toss outside off stump, and Seifert shuffled across before getting down and scooping the ball over fine leg.
The third six was arguably the most impressive of the three. Seifert backed away against another short delivery and cut it powerfully over cover, sending the ball all the way for six. The shot prompted commentator Aaron Finch to describe it as the “shot of the day”. Seifert went on to finish unbeaten on 80 from 40 deliveries, smashing seven sixes and completing his third consecutive fifty in The Hundred.
Manchester Super Giants crush Sunrisers Leeds by 10 wickets
Sunrisers Leeds were bowled out for 127 after being put into bat at Emirates Old Trafford. Mitchell Marsh top-scored with 32 from 23 balls, while Zak Crawley contributed 31 from 28 deliveries. Sunrisers initially appeared well placed at 94 for 3, but their innings quickly collapsed. Gus Atkinson claimed three wickets, while Sonny Baker picked up two as the Sunrisers lost their final four wickets for just 14 runs.
Manchester Super Giants made light work of the chase. Seifert and Paul Walter put together an unbeaten opening partnership, with Walter scoring 44 from 28 balls. The pair took Manchester Super Giants to 128 without loss in only 67 balls, completing a 10-wicket victory with 33 balls remaining. The result also confirmed Manchester Super Giants’ place in the Eliminator.
