New Delhi, 12 August. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the youth to read autobiographies and learn from the struggles of others, saying that the youth living in the 'era of reel' should remember that 'shortcuts' can harm them. PM Modi made this appeal on Wednesday while addressing the release program of former President Ramnath Kovind's autobiography 'Triumph of the Indian Republic: My Life, My Struggles'.

PM Modi said in his address, 'It is better if you all take full benefit of the book by reading it. If you know the life journey of Kovind ji in his words and if the new generation of the country reads his experiences, everyone will learn a lot from this.
The Prime Minister said, “Kovind ji's life shows how determination can help a person overcome difficulties and reach the highest constitutional post. Kovind ji has named his book very aptly: 'Triumph of the Indian Republic: My Life, My Struggles'. Its main message is that even though his life and the struggles it entailed were personal, the victory that resulted from those struggles is that of the Indian Republic and that of India's democracy.”
PM Modi also said, 'I remember that during my tenure as Prime Minister, I used to go to meet him (former President Ramnath Kovind) at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Despite protocol, they often interacted outside common formalities. He used to come to the car door to see off the Prime Minister. Initially I had requested him not to do this. Yet, he never lost that humility.
