According to official information received, he died due to illness in Beijing at around 11 am on Wednesday. He made many major changes as Prime Minister from 1998 to 2003. During his early life and political career, he openly praised reforms in communist countries and at one time he was even sent to do hard physical labor in rural areas. However, later returning to the political scene, he took over the reins of the country as Prime Minister from 1998 to 2003 and made many major administrative and economic changes. His policies gave a new impetus to China's development, giving the country a strong economic identity at the global level. While working to make state-owned companies more efficient, efficient and profitable, Zhu Rongji came into sharp conflict with conservative Communist Party leaders and heads of large state-owned enterprises.
