Honor has launched its new and unique robot phone in China. The specialty of this smartphone is its robotic gimbal camera which is mounted on the top of the device and can rotate as per the need. When recording a video, the camera uses AI to keep the subject in the frame. The company claims that hands-free video recording can be done even without a tripod. Honor first introduced the concept of this phone last year and it was also shown at MWC.

In China, the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage model of the Honor Robot Phone is priced at CNY 9,999 (approximately ₹1.41 lakh). The top-end model with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage is priced at CNY 12,999 (approximately ₹1.83 lakh). This phone is available in Moon Shadow Gray and Star Trail Silver color options.

120Hz OLED display
The Honor Robot Phone features a 6.31-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1,216×2,640 pixels and a pixel density of 460ppi. The screen supports an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz. According to the company, the peak HDR brightness of the display can reach 6,800 nits.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor
This phone comes with octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and Adreno 840 GPU. It has the option of up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB internal storage. This device runs on MagicOS 10.

The camera system makes the Honor Robot Phone different from other smartphones. It has a triple rear camera setup, which houses a 200-megapixel main camera. It has a 1/1.28-inch CMOS sensor and f/1.6 aperture. The camera includes 23mm equivalent gimbal stabilization. Additionally, the phone has a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera that offers 2.7x optical zoom and 200x digital zoom, as well as a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 122-degree field of view.

**AI-Powered Subject Tracking**

The robotic gimbal camera on the phone can rotate to track the subject during video recording. It uses three-axis mechanical gimbal stabilization. With the help of AI-based intelligent subject tracking, the camera tries to keep the person in the frame while recording. The rear camera can record 4K videos at up to 120fps, while the front camera is capable of recording 4K videos at up to 60fps. Honor has also partnered with ARRI, a company that specializes in camera and cinematic technology, for this device.

For audio, it has stereo speakers and four microphones with AI noise reduction. For security, the phone has a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Additionally, it includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, proximity sensor, and Hall sensor as well as an X-axis linear motor.
