Cockroach Found in Ghevar: A case of finding cockroaches in Ghevar purchased from a sweet shop in Dankaur, Greater Noida has come to light. Vijaypal Singh, resident of Dhanori village, has raised questions on the quality of sweets and demanded action. The video of this matter is also going viral on social media.
According to Vijaypal Singh, who bought Ghevar, he had bought about 5 kg Ghevar and 2 kg Gujhiya from a sweet shop in Dankaur at around 5 pm on Tuesday evening. When the sweets were opened after reaching home, a cockroach was seen in the ghevar. After this he reached the shop and complained about this to the seller.
What did the customer say?
The customer says that the shopkeeper did not take his complaint seriously. The shopkeeper reportedly said that such a complaint has never been received before regarding the Ghevar of his shop.
Demand for action against the shop
Vijaypal Singh complained about the matter to the health department and other concerned officials at around 2 pm on Wednesday. He has demanded an investigation of the sweets as well as necessary action against the shop.
Anger among people after the video went viral
Vijaypal has also posted the video of the incident on social media. After the video surfaced, there is resentment among the local people regarding the quality of food items. People have demanded the Food Safety Department to inspect the shop and check the quality of sweets.
At present, it is being said that the process of departmental inquiry has started in the matter. Only after investigation will it be clear how the cockroach entered the sweets and whether food safety standards have been violated or not.
