Maharashtra Minister of State for Home and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Yogesh Kadam made several important statements on adulteration, security situation in the state and political developments. Regarding food adulterants, Yogesh Kadam said that MCOCA can be enforced against such criminals. He said the FDA is continuing to crack down on adulterants.
Warning the adulterers of food items, Yogesh Kadam said that the government is now going to take strict action against those who adulterate milk, cheese and analogue cheese. He hinted that the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) against adulterers was being seriously considered. Kadam said FDA proceedings are ongoing in many parts of the state, including Sambhajinagar. The main objective of the government is to ensure that counterfeiters do not escape by taking advantage of loopholes in the law. Let us tell you that analogue cheese is already banned in Maharashtra.
Speaking on the current political dynamics in the state, Yogesh Kadam expressed the possibility of NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) joining the NDA. He said that if Sharad Pawar’s party joins the NDA in the coming days, no one should be surprised and should welcome it. He pointed out that Sharad Pawar and his party leaders have increased their meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior BJP leaders. The arrival of an experienced leader like Sharad Pawar will strengthen the coalition. Regarding Independence Day preparations, the Minister of State for Home expressed confidence that the Mumbai Police and all security agencies are fully prepared and August 15 will be celebrated in a safe and enthusiastic atmosphere. Regarding the action of the ATS, he clarified that suspects involved in anti-national activities are being closely monitored. Those promoting an anti-national agenda on social media are also being closely monitored, and strict legal action is being taken based on evidence.
