According to automobile experts and dealership sources, the expected ex-showroom price of Yamaha R2 can be kept between Rs 2.00 lakh to Rs 2.20 lakh. Talking about the powertrain, there is every possibility of getting a liquid-cooled engine of 200cc to 220cc capacity, which will fill the gap between 150cc (R15) and 300cc (R3) segments.

As per the company’s booking portal and guidelines, customers have to keep the following rules in mind while booking:

  • Delivery on priority basis: Customers who deposit token amount first will be given first priority in delivery after launch.
  • 100% Refundable Booking: If customers decide not to purchase the bike after the official launch, the entire booking amount will be refunded.
  • Awaiting official confirmation: Final variants, exact specifications and on-road prices will be announced during the launch event on August 27. Although the company has not clearly mentioned the name of the model in the official document, the trademarks and dealer inputs point towards R2 only.
