According to the information received, RK Verma has been posted as SDO for about six months in the electricity sub-station of Maudaha town of Hamirpur district. RK Verma already had two daughters in his family, but he wanted a son. Longing for this son, he contacted Geeta (wife of Vinod), an ANM (ANM) posted in Devipur, resident of Anuwan village of Baberu police station area of Banda district.
It is alleged that SDO RK Verma had lured the female health worker with Rs 5 lakh and in return had promised to steal a child and give it to her. After this, ANM Geeta was continuously trying to steal a child.

On the night of 10th May, ANM Geeta reached Ghatampur Community Health Center (CHC). There she cleverly stole a newborn baby and tried to run away with it. But then the alert staff of the hospital caught sight of him and immediately caught him. The people present at the spot called the police and the police registered a case against Geeta under serious sections of human trafficking and kidnapping and immediately sent her to jail.

When the police strictly interrogated the arrested ANM Geeta and investigated the matter in depth, the secrets she revealed surprised everyone. Geeta told the police that RK Verma, the SDO of the Electricity Department posted in Maudaha, Hamirpur, had asked her to steal the child.
After this revelation, the police took immediate action and registered a case against SDO RK Verma for conspiracy of kidnapping and human trafficking and started searching for him. Ultimately Ghatampur police took action and arrested the accused SDO and sent him to jail.
Now major suspension action will be taken against SDO
After this high-profile case came to light, there was a lot of panic in the electricity department. Talking in this regard, Superintending Engineer of Electricity Department, GC Yadav said that the police has arrested the SDO in connection with the case registered at Ghatampur police station. A letter has been sent by the department to the higher officials (Chief) for disciplinary action regarding his suspension, and now further strict action will be taken at the headquarters level itself.
