Movie nights are getting a fresh dose of excitement this August as Disney+ rolls out an entertaining lineup of new films.
Here is a list of movies you need to watch this weekend:
Starting with:
Camp Rock 3
Camp Rock 3the third sequel to Disney’s Camp Rock franchise comes more than a decade later; with Camp Rock coming out in 2008 and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam in 2010.
The Jonas Brothers return to the camp as the fictional band Connect 3 in search for their opening act for their reunion tour. They hope to find the next big star from the camp that holds a lot of memories for them, especially Joe’s Shane Gray.
The competition brings high tensions, new romances and tests friendships.
Fans can stream Camp Rock 3 on August 14.
‘Descendants: Wicked Wonderland’
Picking up after The Rise of Red, Wicked Wonderland brings the royal duo back to Wonderland for a brand new adventure; where they’ll face off against a familiar enemy.
This time, Maddox Hatter (Leonard Nam) has his sights set on ruling Wonderland, and he believes kidnapping Red’s mother, the Queen of Hearts (Rita Ora), is the perfect way to seize power. But his plan soon backfires as Red, Chloe and their unlikely new frenemy, Cheesy the Cat (voiced by Awkwafina), race against time to save the Queen before her fate becomes a literal matter of losing her head.
Joining the cast for the latest adventure are returning favorites Melanie Paxson as Fairy Godmother, Paolo Montalban as King Charming and Brandy as Cinderella.
Descendants: Wicked Wonderland began streaming July 17.
The Punisher: One Last Kill
Chronologically positioned between Daredevil: Born Again and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, The Punisher: One Last Kill follows Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) as he returns to New York City with old scores to settle.
But Frank’s violent past continues to haunt him, with recurring visions of his dead daughter forcing him to question the vigilante life he once willingly chose.
The Punisher: One Last Kill released on May 12.
Elio
In Pixar’s Elio11-year-old Elio Solís (Yonas Kibreab) dreams of making contact with extraterrestrial life. His aunt, Olga Solís (Zoe Saldaña), knows something about putting dreams on hold, having set aside her own ambition of becoming an astronaut to raise him.
But Olga’s NASA work sets off an extraordinary chain of events, leading Elio to accidentally make first contact with extraterrestrial life.
After mistaking Elio for an ambassador from Earth, the aliens transport him to the Communiverse, a spectacular hub where beings from all corners of the universe meet. There, Elio befriends Glordon (Remy Edgerly) and others, but his cosmic adventure soon becomes much more than he bargained for when an interstellar crisis threatens to throw everything into chaos.
Audiences in the United States got their first theatrical look at Disney and Pixar’s Elio on June 20, 2025. It can now be streamed on Disney+.
Zootopia 2
Set shortly after the first Zootopiathe sequel finds Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) continuing their crime-fighting adventures as partners in the Zootopia Police Department.
Despite how much Judy and Nick mean to each other, their clashing personalities could ultimately cost them their partnership. But before they can deal with their differences, the two must uncover why a snake has suddenly turned up in Zootopia.
The mysterious snake is revealed to be Gary De’Snake (Ke Huy Quan), a pit viper determined to clear his family’s name after they were wrongly accused of crimes years ago. But when Gary’s search for the truth threatens the secrets of one of Zootopia’s wealthiest residents, Milton Lynxle (David Strathairn), the powerful figure turns the city against Gary, Judy and Nick, ordering their elimination.
Zootopia 2 was released in theaters on November 26, 2025.
