The city of Palanpur was painted in the colors of patriotism with the thunderous chants of ‘Tiranga mari aan hai, Tiranga mari shaan hai…’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. On the occasion of Independence Day, under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’, Banaskantha district administration organized a grand tricolor yatra under the chairmanship of Forest and Environment Minister Pravinbhai Mali.
G.D. The yatra started from Modi College, Guru Nanak Chowk, Saraswati Madhyam Stadium and ended at Shaheed Smarak Police Parade Ground. More than 10 thousand citizens, youth, women, children, athletes, government officials-employees and representatives of various organizations enthusiastically participated in the Yatra. Horse riding, bike rally, police band and D.J. Patriotic performances including, became the center of attraction.

On this occasion, Palanpur MLA Aniket Thakar said that with the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi, the whole environment of Palanpur has become colorful with this trip, which was organized under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. District Collector Mihir Patel said that citizens, children, sportspersons, government officials-employees and office-bearers of the district participated in large numbers in the rally. District Superintendent of Police Prashant Sumbe said around 10,000 citizens participated in the yatra, while around 500 personnel from police, GRD and Home Guard joined the band and horse show. The entire program was completed with enthusiasm and discipline.
