5 European countries top Vietnam travel searches as visa exemption boosts demand

European markets lead accommodation searches for Vietnam this summer, with visa exemption policies helping drive interest, a new report from travel platform Agoda shows.

France has recorded the biggest search volume, followed by the U.K., the Netherlands and Russia.

Citizens of 24 countries including these five countries can enter Vietnam visa-free for up to 45 days until 2028.

Vietnam also recorded strong growth in interest from several emerging markets such as Azerbaijan, Poland and Sweden, indicating growing interest across a wider range of European markets.

The rise may be driven by easier entry requirements, improved international connectivity and Vietnam’s diverse tourism offerings, which are making the country more attractive for longer-haul trips, Agoda said.

According to data from the General Statistics Office, Vietnam welcomed 13.9 million international visitors in the first seven months of 2026, an increase of 13.8% year-on-year.

European visitor arrivals to Vietnam surged 53.4% year-on-year to more than 2.35 million in the first seven months of 2026.
