New Delhi: In the case of Deepak's death that took place on July 16 in Kanjhawala area of Rohini district, the police have made a sensational revelation and exposed the alleged murder conspiracy. The joint team of Police Station Kanjhawala and Rohini District Special Staff has arrested five accused including the main conspirator in the case. According to the police, to remove Deepak from the way, an attempt was first made to allegedly crush him with a white Hyundai I-10 on July 2 and when that failed, he was killed by hitting him with a Scorpio on July 16. During the press conference at Delhi Police Headquarters, DCP Shashank Jaiswal of Rohini district said that the operation was supervised by ACP Begumpur Sarthak Tyagi and ACP Operations Ajmer Singh. The team of police station Kanjhawala was led by SHO Inspector Krishna Kumar, while the team of special staff remained under the leadership of Inspector Sandeep Godara.
The dead body was found on the night of 16th July
On July 16, Kanjhawala police station had received a PCR call about a person injured and lying dead in a collision with a Scorpio on Chandpur Majra Road. Police reached the spot and found Deepak's body, while his damaged scooter was lying about 100 meters away. During investigation, the deceased was identified as Deepak, resident of Majra Dabas and investigation was started by registering FIR number 388/26.
Layers of conspiracy revealed in investigation
During the investigation of the case, the police came to know that Deepak had also become a victim of a road accident on July 2 near Prem Pyau Road, Majra Dabas. At that time he was hit by an unknown white Hyundai i-10 and FIR number 365/2026 was registered in this regard. The investigation team reached out to the accused through technical surveillance, local interrogation and human intelligence. On July 17, 30-year-old Sagar Kala was arrested. During interrogation, he revealed the alleged conspiracy and told that on July 2, he had hit the I-10 with the intention of killing Deepak. On his information, the Scorpio used in the incident of July 16 was recovered. Subsequently, 30-year-old Atul Monty was arrested and a white Hyundai I-10, allegedly used in the July 2 incident, was recovered from his possession.
Also accused of firing outside brother's house
According to the police, investigation revealed that 45-year-old Pawan alias Jagpal Dabas had an old enmity with Deepak. It is alleged that Pawan conspired to murder Deepak. Police claim that he first fired outside the house of the deceased's brother and later tried to kill Deepak through a road accident.
Main conspirator arrested on 12th August
During the investigation, 23-year-old Sahil was arrested on July 22 for allegedly harboring Pawan and attempting to destroy evidence. Prince alias Tilly, 24, was arrested on July 26 for allegedly arranging for the Scorpio to be used in the murder. Finally, on August 12, the police team arrested the alleged main conspirator Pawan alias Jagpal Dabas (45). On the trail of the accused, the police have recovered the Scorpio allegedly used in the murder, the white Hyundai I-10 used in the July 2 incident, and two mobile phones.
According to the police, four criminal cases are already registered against Pawan, while prior criminal cases have also been registered against Sagar Kala and Prince.
The joint action was taken by the team of police station Kanjhawala and special staff under the leadership of DCP Rohini Shashank Jaiswal. The police are now investigating other aspects related to the conspiracy and the role of the accused.
