New Delhi: Bomb threats in Delhi just before Independence Day have increased the concern of security agencies. Threatening e-mails have been sent to many important places of the capital including Delhi High Court. As soon as the information was received, police, bomb disposal squad and fire teams became active. At present there is no news of any suspicious object being found from any place. According to the information, apart from Delhi High Court, Jamnagar House, Jhandewalan's flat building, DM office in Saket, Terminal-3 of IGI Airport and SDM office of Delhi Cantt have also received threats.
Security teams reached all the places and started investigation. Bomb disposal squad is conducting a search operation in the High Court premises. After receiving the threat, the Registrar General of the High Court is also in touch with Delhi Police. Security agencies are investigating the e-mail and trying to find out from where the message was sent.
Threat to target High Court and Metro also
In the e-mail that has surfaced, it has been claimed that there would be a blast in the Delhi High Court on August 15 at 2:11 pm. Apart from this, a threat of blast has been made in a district court at 3.11 pm. In the e-mail, it has been said that Delhi Metro and Ambala going trains will also be targeted. Words like 'Delhi Banega Khalistan' have been used in the message and the name of Babbar Khalsa has also been written. Information about use of threatening language in relation to Home Minister Amit Shah and the courts has also come to light.

After the threat, security arrangements have been increased at all the concerned places. Fire engines are also deployed on the spot. However, no suspicious object has been recovered from any place in the search so far. In view of August 15, security has already been tightened in Delhi. Additional police forces are deployed at important places and surveillance has been increased in public places.
Special security arrangements have also been made in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Independence Day address at the Red Fort. Police and security agencies are investigating the threatening e-mail. Efforts are on to find out the identity of the person sending the message and the intention behind it. At present, the administration has appealed to the people to remain alert and immediately report any suspicious activity.
