Murrah Buffalo Subsidy Scheme Details: Madhya Pradesh government is running many welfare schemes for the citizens of the state, whose direct benefits are being given to the eligible beneficiaries. The government is running various schemes for every class and every sector. In this series, another economical scheme has been started by the Animal Husbandry Department of the state. This scheme can be very beneficial especially for the farmers and cattle rearers of the state. Let us tell you that the Animal Husbandry Department has started ‘Chief Minister Dairy Plus Scheme’. Under this scheme, up to 70 percent subsidy will be given by the government on purchasing Murrah buffalo.

What will be the benefit of this scheme?
- People belonging to the general category will have to pay half the cost (50%) of the scheme themselves and the remaining half (50%) will be borne by the government.
- SC and ST category farmers will have to pay only one-fourth (25%) of the expense of the scheme and the remaining 75% of the expense will be given by the government in the form of subsidy.
- Under this scheme, farmers will be given 2 Murrah buffaloes of good breed.
- Every buffalo found will give 8 to 10 liters of milk daily.
- Farmers will be given pregnant buffaloes of 5 months or more so that they can start milk production and earning immediately as soon as they come home.
Who is eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme?
- The applicant must be a native of Madhya Pradesh.
- The applicant should be a resident of Sehore, Vidisha or Raisen district.
- It is necessary for the applicant to be a cattle rearer.
- The applicant should belong to General, SC or ST category.
- The applicant should have a shed to keep two milch animals.
- There should be adequate provision of water for the animals.

How to apply?
- Go to the Government Veterinary Hospital of Sehore, Vidisha or Raisen and collect the application form from the employee there.
- Fill all the necessary information asked in the form and attach photocopies of your important documents.
Submit this completely filled and signed form to the same veterinary hospital or office.
After submitting the form, take a receipt from the officer there with date, time and number written on it.
