New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday called for 'seven streams of power' and said that these seven powers will take India to new heights and new heights. In his address from the ramparts of the Red Fort on the 80th Independence Day, Modi said that in the next five-seven years, we will have to gain the strength to complete the tasks which have remained incomplete for five-seven decades.
Describing the first power under the 'Seven Powers' as 'manufacturing power', Modi said that India will have to develop the entire value chain from 'component' and 'design' to finished products and emerge as a reliable global supply chain centre. He said that the second strength is agriculture and food processing. Referring to the opening of world markets for farmers, the Prime Minister said that India is getting a bigger market through Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and now emphasis will be laid on reaching the export market from the farm.
Modi said that India's traditional food, millets, spices and fruits should become global brands. He described technology and innovation as the third force and said that today's era is of artificial intelligence (AI), quantum technology, space, robotics and data centers. He emphasized that India has to become a global hub of innovation.
The goal is to reach 6G to every corner.
The Prime Minister said that India has proven its capability in the field of UPI and digital public infrastructure and now there is a need to take digital public technologies to every corner of the world. He said India should lead in next generation communication technology and the aim should be to take 'Made in India 6G' to every corner.
Cities should be connected by high-speed rail
Describing the fourth power of Saptadhara as 'Gatishakti', Modi stressed on uninterrupted and fast connectivity. He said that cities should be connected through high-speed rail and focus should also be given to port-based development. He described defense power as the fifth power of Saptadhara and said that being self-reliant in the defense sector has now become a need of both India and the world. Modi said that when the world is focusing on its own interests, then India cannot remain only a market for the world.
Will have to become self-reliant in defense sector
Modi said India will have to become self-reliant in the defense sector and move towards becoming a global supplier by developing next generation defense technology. Describing 'Green and Blue Economy' as the sixth force, he said India must achieve global leadership in the fields of green hydrogen, renewable energy and energy storage and continue to provide solutions to the world's challenges.
Yoga connected the world to India
According to the Prime Minister, the blue economy also has immense potential in the fields of fisheries, coastal tourism and marine technology, which can open new avenues for India's development. Describing India's 'soft power' as the seventh power of Saptadhara, Modi said that Yoga has kept the whole world connected with India. He said that Yoga is becoming an energy for the world and a major basis of faith for India.
