CM Yogi Attack On Shivpal Azam Khan Statement: In the politics of Uttar Pradesh, the name of senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan is once again in the headlines. Shivpal Singh Yadav, who recently reached Rampur, met Azam Khan in Sitapur jail. After this meeting, Shivpal Yadav had given a big statement in front of the media and said that if SP government is formed in the state, Azam Khan will be made the Home Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
Regarding this statement of Shivpal Singh Yadav, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a strong attack on the Samajwadi Party. During a special program organized at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow on Friday on the occasion of 'Partition Disaster Memorial Day', CM Yogi took on both SP and Congress.
Big attack on Azam Khan and SP without taking names
During his address at Lok Bhavan, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directly targeted former minister Azam Khan who built a university in Rampur without taking the name of Mohammad Ali Johar. CM Yogi said in strong words that Samajwadi Party is today becoming the advocate of such people, who have been seriously accused of working against the independence of the country and playing a role in the partition of India.
The Chief Minister said that if SP comes to power, it is dreaming of making such people as Home Ministers, who established big universities in the name of the people who wrote the script of Partition. This statement of CM Yogi is being considered as a direct response to the recent statement of Shivpal Yadav.
'Congress is busy saving and distributing enemy property'
Along with SP, CM Yogi also fiercely attacked Congress. He said that after independence, it was the responsibility of the then Congress government to give citizenship to the displaced people who came to India from Pakistan and to provide them land leases. The amount of their property that was destroyed or confiscated in Pakistan should have been compensated in India.
But on the contrary, the Congress government was busy protecting and distributing enemy property. CM Yogi alleged that they used enemy property as a means of looting and plunder and made it their personal property. He clearly said that this property should have been distributed among the oppressed Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist and Jain families who came from Pakistan, but the Congressmen tried their best to save the entire property of the Nawab of Mahmudabad.
'History is not only for remembering, but also for learning'
Recalling the pain of Partition, the Chief Minister said that 'Partition Horrors Memorial Day' is not just an occasion to remember the sad pages of the past. History gives us great inspiration to be proud of our past as well as to learn from past mistakes and never repeat them in the future.
During the programme, the Chief Minister also visited a special exhibition depicting the period of Partition. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Minister Dr. Arun Kumar, MP Brijlal, Legislative Council Member Dr. Mahendra Singh, MLA Jayadevi, Dr. Neeraj Bora and representatives of many displaced families were present. Representatives of Punjabi and Sindhi communities also shared their painful experiences related to partition.
Message given through Maun Yatra- 'We will not let the country bow down, we will not let the country be divided again'
On the occasion of Partition Horrors Memorial Day, a huge silent march was taken out in Lucknow under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. CM Yogi first paid floral tributes at the statue of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel located in Hazratganj. After this, the message of the integrity of the country was given through a silent march from GPO to Lok Bhavan.
During this silent march, a poster was also seen in the hands of CM Yogi, on which it was written – 'Will not allow the country to bow down, will not allow the country to be divided again'. During the yatra, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharkwal and many other senior leaders were also seen accompanying CM Yogi.
Opposition cornered by mentioning CAA
During the conclusion of his speech, the Chief Minister, while referring to the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), accused the opposition parties of spreading confusion in the country. He said that there is a clear provision in CAA to give citizenship to Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian refugees who came to India due to religious persecution from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
CM Yogi said that there was no provision in this law to snatch the land or citizenship of any Indian Muslim, Congress or SP leader. Despite this, conspiracies were hatched to incite violence across the country against this law for political gains.
