Indian Railways is constantly working to make passenger travel easier and cheaper. In this regard, the Railway Board has approved seven new Amrit Bharat Express trains for different parts of the country. These trains will improve connectivity between Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and many cities in South India. The main objective of Amrit Bharat Express is to provide passengers a comfortable long distance journey at a lower fare than premium trains. Millions of commuters of the country will get immense relief in commuting and transport facilities will be strengthened.
7 New Amrit Bharat Express trains approved by Railways and their routes:
1. Dhanbad-Coimbatore Amrit Bharat Express (22363/22364): This train (22363/22364) will provide long distance connectivity from Jharkhand to South India. It will run from Dhanbad to Coimbatore via Gomo, Parasnath, Korma, Gaya, Sasaram, Prayagraj, Katni, Jabalpur, Nagpur, Vijayawada and Tirupati regions. The train will return from Dhanbad on Saturday and Coimbatore on Tuesday.
2. Charlapalli-Gorakhpur Amrit Bharat Express (22075/22076): This train (22075/22076) will make traveling between Telangana and Uttar Pradesh very easy. Major stations like Kajipet, Peddapalli, Nagpur, Bhopal, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow and Gonda will come on the way. It will run from Charlapalli on Friday and from Gorakhpur on Sunday.
3. Gorakhpur-Bandra Amrit Bharat Express (15085/15086): This train (15085/15086) will prove to be very important for passengers traveling between Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai. The train will depart from Gorakhpur and reach Bandra via Kanpur, Agra, Kota, Ratlam, Vadodara, Surat, Vapi and Borivali. It will depart every week from Gorakhpur on Friday and Bandra on Saturday.
4. Gorakhpur-Delhi Amrit Bharat Express (15095/15096): Passengers are going to get one more weekly option between Gorakhpur and Delhi. The train (15095/15096) will run from Gorakhpur and stop at stations like Basti, Gonda, Sitapur, Bareilly, Moradabad and Ghaziabad, making it easier for people from Eastern Uttar Pradesh to travel to and from Delhi.
5. Subedarganj-Lokmanya Tilak Amrit Bharat Express (14121/14122): This train (14121/14122) will be very useful for passengers traveling from Prayagraj area to Mumbai. Its route will pass through Fatehpur, Kanpur, Banda, Satna, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Khandwa, Bhusawal, Nashik Road, Kalyan and Thane.
6. Prayagraj-Udhna Amrit Bharat Express (20437/20438): This train (20437/20438) will also be a new and better option for passengers. Running from Prayagraj, the train will reach Udhana (Gujarat) via Fatehpur, Kanpur, Etawah, Agra, Bharatpur, Kota, Ratlam and Vadodara, directly benefiting many cities of UP, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
7. Prayagraj-Lokmanya Tilak Amrit Bharat Express (20436/20435): The seventh train (20436/20435) will run from Prayagraj to Kalyan in Maharashtra. Its route will have relatively few stops and will go from Prayagraj to Maharashtra via Satna, Jabalpur, Itarsi and Bhusawal. The train will depart from Prayagraj on Friday and from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on Saturday.
When will the trains start?
Currently all these 7 new Amrit Bharat Express trains have been approved by the Railway Board, but these services are yet to be officially started. According to the Railways, the inauguration date and schedule of all these trains will be announced soon, so that passengers can book tickets on time.
