Due to metro construction work on Mehrauli-Badarpur (MB) Road in Delhi, traffic will be affected for about a month. The construction work of portal beam is being done by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) from Sainik Farm Gate No. 2 in front of Asian Market. Due to construction work, a carriageway between Khanpur and Saket metro station has been closed for about a month. During this period, traffic in both directions of the road will operate from the same carriageway.
Traffic affected till 15th September
According to Delhi Traffic Police, due to the construction work of DMRC Phase-4 corridor (Tughlakabad to Aerocity), traffic on this part of MB Road will remain affected till September 15. With a single carriageway available for vehicles in both directions, the effective width of the road will be reduced. There is a possibility of heavy traffic jam on this route, especially during morning and evening peak hours. In such a situation, drivers have been advised to avoid the affected section of MB Road between Khanpur T-Point and Saket Metro Station.
Appeal to adopt alternative route
The traffic police has appealed to drivers to use alternative routes to avoid delays. According to the police, people traveling on this route during construction work should plan their journey in advance. At the same time, passengers going to railway stations, airports and hospitals have been advised to take special precautions. The traffic police has asked such passengers to leave home with extra time in view of possible jams and delays, so that they can reach their destination on time.

For vehicles coming from Khanpur, Khanpur T-Point BRT Corridor Sheikh Sarai T-Point Press Enclave Road PTS T-Point Aurobindo Marg Anuvrat Marg Lado Sarai T-Point will be the alternative route.
Vehicles coming from Pramod Mahajan Road and Mandir Marg
Vehicles coming from Pramod Mahajan Road and Mandir Marg can go towards their destination via Press Enclave Road Sheikh Sarai Red Light (BRT Road) Khanpur Light MB Road. The traffic police has appealed to the drivers to avoid unnecessary pressure on the affected route and follow the traffic instructions issued by the police while travelling.
