Lucknow: In the rain-affected UP T-20 League Season 4 match, Gorakhpur Lions defeated Lucknow Falcons by four wickets using the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method. In the match played at Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on Saturday night, the match was reduced to 15 overs each due to rain. Gorakhpur Lions achieved the revised target of 100 runs with two balls remaining.
Lucknow's innings faltered in the powerplay
After winning the toss, Gorakhpur Lions captain Aryan Juyal decided to bowl first and his bowlers proved it right. Lucknow Falcons lost five wickets for 31 runs inside the powerplay.
In the sixth over, Prince Yadav bowled brilliantly and took three wickets. After the initial setbacks, Satyam Pandey tried to take control of the innings. They first partnered with Vipraj Nigam. After Nigam was out for 10 runs, Ajit Verma supported Satyam.
