Delhi Specialist Doctors Campaign: Specialist doctors of Delhi have announced to start a free health care campaign named '2 Ghanta Desh Ke Naam' for the treatment of poor and needy people. In this, specialist doctors from Delhi will provide free consultation to poor and needy people for 2 hours every week.
Specialist doctors of bone, cancer, mental health, paediatrics, heart and eye diseases will provide free consultation to poor and needy people for 2 hours every week. Patients can also get advice by visiting hospitals or through video calls. The aim of this initiative is to provide better medical advice to vulnerable people who cannot afford expensive treatment.
In this campaign, different specialist doctors have pledged to provide free counseling to poor and needy people for 2 hours every week. This campaign, which started this week, is progressing rapidly. Doctors from other fields like cardiology, endocrinology, paediatrics, gynecology and general medicine are also continuously joining this campaign. They are starting free OPD in their hospitals and clinics. Online consultation facility is also being provided for remote patients.
The poor should not be deprived of treatment
The team of mental health experts from Delhi's Hope Care India has also joined this campaign. Dr Deepak Raheja, Director and Senior Psychiatrist, Hope Care India, said that mental health is an important part of a good life but due to poverty, many people are unable to seek timely help.
