2026 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 Updated And New TVC Released

The Chennai-based bikemaker Royal Enfield recently launched the updated Continental GT 650 in India. It has given this already popular cafe racer a few styling and feature upgrades. Now, to make sure that the newly updated model becomes more popular, it has released a new TVC showing this motorcycle.

The new television commercial of the 2026 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 has been shared on YouTube by the company’s official channel. This short TVC shows the motorcycle in studio lights finished in Red and chrome colour options. It also highlights the newly updated elements as well.

Now, coming to the updates, the biggest changes on the updated Continental GT 650 have been focused on its design and everyday practicality. The cafe racer now gets a black-painted instrument cowl. This gives the motorcycle a darker appearance around the front. The bike also gets new LED turn indicators, which replace the older halogen units and give it a more modern look.

Another important addition is a USB Type-C fast-charging port. This will help the rider to charge their smartphones and other compatible devices while riding. Now, although it is a small addition, it makes the Continental GT 650 more practical for everyday use and longer rides.

Royal Enfield has also revised the specifications of the Rocker Red colour option. It now gets a blacked-out engine, exhaust and cast alloy wheels. This particular treatment was previously available with the Apex Grey variant. This gives the Rocker Red version a sportier and darker appearance compared to the polished-engine options.

The British Racing Green and Mr. Clean versions, meanwhile, will continue to get the polished engine components and traditional spoke wheels. This means buyers will now have a choice between the blacked-out specification with alloy wheels and the more traditional cafe racer appearance with spoke wheels.

The updated Continental GT 650 is available in four colour options. Its prices range from Rs 3.58 lakh to Rs 3.88 lakh (ex-showroom). The Rocker Red colour has been priced at Rs 3,58,427 and the British Racing Green has been priced at Rs 3,58,427. Meanwhile, the Apex Grey colour is priced at Rs 3,80,921, and lastly, the Mr. Clean colour has been priced at Rs 3,87,667.

The entry-level price is around Rs 5,322 higher than before. However, despite this increase, the Rocker Red and British Racing Green are priced identically. The main difference between them is their engine and wheel finishes.

The biggest thing to note about the 2026 update is that the Continental GT 650 has not changed mechanically. It continues to use the familiar 648cc, air- and oil-cooled parallel-twin engine. This motor produces 47 bhp and 52.3 Nm of peak torque and comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The motorcycle also continues to boast its steel tubular double-cradle frame, telescopic front forks and gas-charged twin rear shock absorbers. Dual-channel ABS is also part of the equipment package. Basically, this update is about improving the motorcycle’s appearance and adding some modern convenience features.
