'Will take a bullet on the chest…' Students' harsh announcement regarding JPSC exam rigging, government shaken

Student Protest, JPSC-JSSC Candidates: Thousands of candidates have been on the streets of Ranchi for the last 21 days against the alleged rigging and huge irregularities in the JPSC and JSSC examinations. Till now, these students were protesting peacefully demanding justice and an impartial CBI investigation into the alleged irregularities in the examination.

But now JSSC Reform Forum has directly demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accusing the state government of completely ignoring the students. For the first time, the demand for the resignation of the Chief Minister has been raised in this huge student movement that has been going on in Ranchi for the last several days. With this, the enraged candidates have now started preparing vigorously to siege the CM House.

'Now we will follow the path of Bhagat Singh, not Gandhi' JSSC Reform Forum, angry with the indifference and lax attitude of the government, has announced to change the way of the movement. The Manch has clearly said that now their movement will move forward not on the peaceful path of Mahatma Gandhi, but on the aggressive path of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh.

During the JPSC-JSSC protest, student leader Ravindra Paswan said, 'We are completely changing the way of our movement. We have resorted to Gandhian methods and peaceful protests, but the government is not ready to listen to us. Therefore now we will follow the path of Bhagat Singh.

Student leader Ravindra further said, 'We are ready to take bullets for the cause of our rights and justice, even if the government shoots at our chests. We will not let our movement stop until all our demands are met. While speaking from the stage, Piyush Kumar targeted the government and said that the government is making the mistake of considering students as 'insects'. He said that now the students will follow the path of 'Dishom Guru' and convey their loud voice to the government.

Why the ruckus in Ranchi on JPSC-JSSC? These are the important demands of the students The students' protest continues against the alleged rigging and corruption in the JPSC and JSSC examinations at the historic Jaipal Singh Stadium in Ranchi. The main demands of the agitating students are as follows:

14th JPSC exam should be canceled The agitating students are alleging large-scale rigging in the JPSC 14th Civil Services Preliminary Examination and demanding its immediate cancellation. It is noteworthy that the result of this preliminary examination was declared on 02 July 2026, after which the controversy continued to deepen.

There should be a CBI investigation into the matter After continuous protests by students, the state government has handed over the investigation of the case to CID. However, students are not at all satisfied with this move. Their demand is that instead of the state CID, this entire matter should be investigated by the Central Investigation Agency (CBI), so that the culprits can be given the harshest punishment.

Blacklisted companies should be thrown out The protesting students have a clear demand that previously blacklisted companies should not get the contract to conduct examinations under any circumstances. Controversial companies like TDPL should be immediately ousted from the process of examination conduct.

5th option should be added in OMR sheet To avoid such irregularities in future and to make the examination process completely transparent, a 5th option of 'Not Attempted' should be added in the OMR sheet, so that the possibility of any subsequent tampering in the OMR sheet can be eliminated.

Transparency in cut-off and merit list The fifth and most important demand of the students is that all the anomalies and irregularities in determining the passing marks (cut-off) should be rectified and the authentic merit list bearing the authorized signatures of the responsible authorities should be released publicly.
