Ravi Kishan is having quite a moment on the internet. Thanks to a recent interview that went viral, the actor-turned-politician has become meme gold, with clips and jokes featuring him taking over social media.
Along with the memes, his old signature “Gucci step” has come back to life online, with fans recreating it everywhere.
Now his Mirzapur co-stars have got in on the joke too, and the video is doing the rounds for good reason.
At a promotional event for the show, Divyendu and Ali Fazal were caught quietly imitating the 57-year-old actor’s dance step behind his back while he was busy chatting with photographers.
The Then Hera Pheri actor didn’t notice at first, he was too busy doing the step himself with one of the paps, followed by a hug.
But when he turned around and spotted the two of them copying him, he burst out laughing. What followed was all three of them dancing together to the same step as they headed into the venue.
This isn’t the first time the Bhojpuri star has ended up as meme material. His “Jaldi The Late” comment and a slip-up where he said “Home From Work” both went viral in their own right, and more recently clips from his podcast appearances, including one where he talked about “Money Follows My Brother”, have been shared widely too.
Speaking in an interview about his meme status, the Raavan actor said he doesn’t mind it at all, joking that he carries a bit of Al Pacino, Amitabh Bachchan, Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley inside him, which is why he ends up giving the internet so many “fusions.”
The fun comes as the cast gears up for Mirzapur: The Moviewhich continues the story from the hit Prime Video series.
Pankaj Tripathi, Divyendu and Ali Fazal are all returning to their original roles, and they’ll be joined by Jitendra Kumar, who steps into the role of Bablu Pandit.
