Leaders are getting inspired by the progress of Punjab under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann: Manish Sisodia

Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party got a big political support in Punjab when many senior Congress leaders, old officials, elected representatives and personalities from the social sector joined the party. All of them took membership of the party in the presence of senior AAP leader and Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia, Cabinet Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal and Punjab AAP media in-charge Baltej Pannu.

AAP gets huge political support in Punjab

Those who joined AAP include Sanmeek Singh Henry (PPCC member and coordinator of Halka Didba), Prabh Noor Sidhu (State Secretary of Youth Congress and former Vice President of District Sangrur), Advocate Rajneesh Gupta (Member of Punjab State Grievance Redressal Committee and Municipal Councilor of Ward No. 6, Lehragaga), Gursevak Singh (former of Rorewala Sarpanch and Vice President of District Congress Committee), Lakhwinder Singh (General Secretary of District Congress Committee), Mandeep Singh (General Secretary of District Congress Committee and President of Patiala SAP Student Union), Veer Singh (former Sarpanch of Salemgarh), Sukhwinder Singh (DP Master), Rohit Kumar Singla (Property Advisor), Rocky Garg (Businessman), Dr. Baljeet Singh (former Sarpanch and former Chairman, SC Wing), Gurpreet Singh (former BSF jawan) and Sukhpal Sharma (businessman).

Manish Sisodia welcomed new members

Welcoming the new members, senior AAP leader and Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia said that leaders of other parties who have true attachment to Punjab are now looking at Aam Aadmi Party as a ray of hope. He said that the sapling which was planted by Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has made it bigger by irrigating it in a better way in Punjab in the last four years. Today the whole of Punjab is watching its progress.

Referring to the work of Bhagwant Mann government, Sisodia said that the steps like work being done for farmers, provision of water for farming, improvement in education and health services, free electricity and financial assistance being given to women are in front of the people. He said that leaders of other parties are now believing that Aam Aadmi Party is the only hope left to take Punjab forward. Punjab can progress continuously under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.

Sanmik Singh Henry told the reason for leaving Congress

Speaking on behalf of the newly joined leaders, Sanmik Singh Henry said that many leaders and workers who have joined AAP have been associated with Congress for a long time. He said that he is a third generation Congress leader, but was constantly feeling that he was being ignored and sidelined in the party. According to him, the workers working at the grassroots level were not getting proper respect and space.

Henry said that the Bhagwant Mann government has started working from the grassroots level. In such a situation, he wanted to be a part of such a political organization where the contribution of every worker is recognized and respected.

Praise for the work of Barinder Kumar Goyal

Praising Cabinet Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal, Sanmik Singh Henry said that the way he is working to change the picture of his constituency is commendable. He said that from arranging water for farmers to improving schools in Punjab, ministers are working in every field. According to him, this reflects the positive thinking of the Aam Aadmi Party.

Henry further said that it is unfortunate that senior Congress leaders are talking about giving four tickets to the same family, while the workers working at the grassroots level for decades are being ignored. He said that Aam Aadmi Party is a party where volunteers and grassroots workers are given importance as well as respect.

The newly joined leaders said that they have joined the Aam Aadmi Party with the belief that the party gives respect and opportunities to grassroots workers to move ahead. He said that AAP is committed to the development and progress of Punjab.
