Avadh Ojha praised RSS, said- wanted to contest elections on BJP ticket

Famous coaching teacher and former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Awadh Ojha has given a big statement about his political journey, praising the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He said that he wanted to contest the elections on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket, but no consensus could be reached regarding the seat from which he wanted to contest. Avadh Ojha, who attended a program of RSS magazine Panchjanya, praised RSS while mentioning the role of Sangh during the India-China war of 1962. He said that RSS had played an important role in that period.

Avadh Ojha wanted to contest elections from BJP

Awadh Ojha told that his wish was to contest the elections on BJP ticket. However, talks could not be held regarding the seat from which he had expressed his desire to contest the elections. Ojha wanted to contest from Allahabad seat, but no consensus could be reached regarding this seat. After this, he contested the 2025 assembly elections from Patparganj assembly seat of Delhi on Aam Aadmi Party ticket.

I find it close to the ideas of RSS.

In response to a question, Avadh Ojha said that he finds himself close to the ideas of RSS on issues like nationalism, identity of Indian tradition and culture. He presented his viewpoint related to the ideology of the Sangh in detail in the program. During this, Ojha also mentioned the plans of the NDA government led by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Praising the Golden Quadrilateral Scheme and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, he said that these schemes played an important role in giving impetus to the rural economy.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee's Pakistan policy praised

Referring to Atal Bihari Vajpayee's Pakistan policy, Avadh Ojha said that he tried to build cordial relations with the neighboring country. Ojha said that Vajpayee talked about development and cooperation with Pakistan and tried to woo it. He also mentioned Vajpayee's Lahore bus trip. According to Ojha, Vajpayee adopted a friendly attitude towards Pakistan, although later the neighboring country again behaved in its old ways.

Praising RSS by mentioning 1962 war

Referring to the India-China war, Awadh Ojha said that during the war in 1962, the RSS had written a letter to the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru asking for the deployment of the country's army and police on the border and giving the responsibility of internal arrangements to the Sangh. Calling it a big thing, Ojha said that the perspective from which any incident is viewed is important. He said that many times people's perspective becomes like that of Duryodhana, due to which they are unable to see things correctly.

'My ideology is still the same'

When Awadh Ojha was asked whether his ideology had changed with time, he denied it. Ojha said that his ideology was the same earlier and remains the same even now. He told that in 2024 he had asked BJP for Lok Sabha election ticket from Prayagraj. Later, when he expressed his desire to contest elections from Allahabad seat, the party suggested him to contest elections from Kaiserganj.

Contested elections from Patparganj on AAP ticket

Let us tell you that Awadh Ojha later joined Aam Aadmi Party and contested from Patparganj seat on the party ticket in the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections. Now after his statements in the RSS programme, the discussion regarding his political stance has intensified.
