Some students have announced to end the long-running protest in Jharkhand. On Monday, Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced that the Jharkhand SSC examinations conducted by TDPL are being cancelled. This announcement was welcomed by the protesting students. Many students, including Devendra Nath Mahato, who were on hunger strike, ended their fast. Apart from this, JPSC-JSSC Reforms Manch has refused to end the protest and has demanded that a CBI inquiry should also be ordered. On the other hand, the students who got jobs through these recruitments and passed the examination have now started protesting at Project Bhawan in Ranchi. They say that due to this announcement of the government, they have come on the streets.
The ongoing protest in Ranchi's Jaipal Munda now seems divided into two factions. JPSC-JSSC Reforms Forum clearly said that they welcome the decision to cancel the examinations but they were also protesting demanding a CBI investigation. Despite meeting ministers Irfan Ansari and Deepika Pandey, this forum is not ready to end its protest. On the other hand, all the protesters have ended their fast and Hemant Soren's government is busy patting itself on the back for accepting the views of the students in this movement.

What did the students who passed the exam say?
A student who came to protest at Project Bhawan said, 'I have come on the streets after the government's decision. I will tell my mom and dad to please be patient and we will win again. We will ask the government to withdraw this harsh decision. This decision of the government has disregarded the Honorable Court. We will go to court again for our rights.
Another student cried and said, 'You investigate, take action against whatever you find wrong. Do injustice to some people, don't do injustice to us. We are ready to conduct an investigation. Everyone has brought papers. Get a CBI inquiry done, whatever investigation needs to be done, get it done but do not do injustice to us. I will die.'
One of these students, who got the job on the basis of the decision of the Division Bench of the High Court, said, 'First the investigation was done and then after the decision of the High Court and the approval of the Supreme Court, we got the job. We are angry with CM Saheb. Sir, please think again on this. There are so many students who have resigned from somewhere. We have come here only after the court's order, we will go to the court again.

These students gathered at Project Bhawan said, 'Your own CID had investigated and said that the paper has not been leaked. Does this mean that big people were present? If you believe that we were guilty, then file an affidavit in the court and tell us what crime we have committed. You cannot verbally fire us. No one can throw us out of the job just because of the pressure of the movement. We got the job after the court order. You submit your reply in the court, we will understand from the court but you cannot throw us out like this.
Will the protest continue in future also?
Ravindra Paswan, leader of JPSC-JSSC Reforms Manch, has said, 'Many thanks and congratulations to the Honorable Chief Minister for taking this bold decision. Honorable Chief Minister, you have taken very bold steps. We have just one more demand that you get a CBI inquiry done in all the examinations that have been conducted and which have been cancelled. Believe it, if you conduct a CBI investigation, Jharkhand will move in a new direction.

He further said, 'Honorable ministers Deepika Pandey and Irfan Ansari had come and appealed that we end our fast. Our demand for a CBI inquiry still continues. We will read the written notification of the assurance given by the government and then decide further. Ravindra Paswan has also appealed to the students to stay here till the CBI investigation.
