News Desk: Big relief related to road connectivity is going to come for the people of Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi and Shivhar districts of Bihar. There is a plan to improve and renovate about 1262 kilometers of roads in these three districts. It is planned to spend approximately Rs 1500 crore on this entire work. After the completion of this project, it is expected that people suffering from potholes and dilapidated roads will get relief and traffic will also become easier.
Most roads will be improved in Muzaffarpur
Muzaffarpur has the largest share in this scheme. About 716 kilometers of road will be rejuvenated here. 53 roads of Road Division-I and 12 roads of Road Division-II have been included in the scheme. At the same time, about 488 kilometers of road in Sitamarhi and about 57.48 kilometers of road in Shivhar will be improved.
Roads will be maintained for seven years
The special thing about this project is that his responsibility will not end after the road is built. Under the OPRAMC arrangement, the concerned agency will also be given the responsibility of maintaining the roads for the next seven years. When the work starts, the damaged parts and potholes will be repaired first. After this, necessary work will be done to improve the road surface. This will help in maintaining the quality of roads for a long time.
Many important roads were included
In Muzaffarpur, work is proposed on several major roads including Muzaffarpur-Mahua State Highway, Muzaffarpur-Pusa Road, Sakri Road and Turki-Pakka Sarai Marg. The city's Hathi Chowk, Laxmi Chowk-Dadar and Madipur Power House Chowk to Gobarsahi-Dumri road have also found a place in the plan. A large number of vehicles travel on these roads every day, hence the local people and travelers can directly benefit from road improvement.
Work on these roads of Sitamarhi-Shivhar also
In Sitamarhi, renovation of many routes including Belsand-Meenapur, Parsauni-Riga, Riga-Majorganj, Sonbarsa NH-77, Belsand-Chhitauni and Kumma-Bela Road is proposed. In Sheohar, work is to be done on Basantapatti-Kataiya, Sheohar-Belwaghat, Sheohar-Meenapur and SH-54 related routes.
