However, former England batsman Geoffrey Boycott has named Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja as his favorite current cricketer instead of these players. Boycott praised Jadeja after completing 4,000 runs and 350 wickets in Test cricket.
Jadeja is one of the most brilliant all-rounders in Test cricket. He makes important contributions to the team in all three departments – bowling, batting and fielding. The biggest feature of his performance is that he can prove useful to the team in any session of the match. Jadeja has played many important innings in batting along with his left arm spin bowling. Apart from this, his excellent fielding makes him different from other players.
Boycott has praised Jadeja earlier also
This is not the first time that 85-year-old Geoffrey Boycott has praised Ravindra Jadeja. He also praised Jadeja a lot during India’s 2025 tour of England. Boycott had said that he likes Jadeja because he is always involved in the game. He praised Jadeja’s left-arm spin, excellent fielding and batting ability. Boycott had also admitted that Jadeja performs well in Test as well as T20 cricket.
Fifth Indian to take 350 test wickets
Ravindra Jadeja has now become the fifth Indian bowler to take 350 or more wickets in Test cricket. At the top of this list is Anil Kumble, who has taken 619 wickets. After him Ravichandran Ashwin has 537 wickets, Kapil Dev has 434 wickets and Harbhajan Singh has 417 wickets. Jadeja has also achieved a special achievement by completing the double of 4,000 Test runs and 350 wickets. This achievement of his makes him one of the most successful all-rounders in cricket history.
