Jamal Musiala’s latest collapse occurred during Bayern’s meeting with Heidenheim on Tuesday, August 18. The midfielder fell without any apparent contact, immediately drawing attention from his teammates and the club’s medical team.
After receiving attention, Musiala was able to stand and walk off the field. He even jogged briefly before Bayern decided to take him off, with the club taking a cautious approach to the situation.

Bayern Munich went on to secure a 4-2 victory over Heidenheim in the friendly, but Musiala’s condition was the major talking point following the incident. His latest setback comes after he returned to training on Monday, completing a 30-minute individual session.
Musiala had only recently resumed competitive activity following the serious ankle injury he suffered at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. The injury involved a fractured fibula and a broken, dislocated ankle after a collision with Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The latest episode follows another worrying moment against RB Leipzig on August 15. Jamal Musiala entered the game as a substitute and scored in the 81st minute of Bayern’s 3-1 victory, but he collapsed near the end of the contest.
Medical personnel immediately attended to him. Musiala was eventually able to stand and leave the pitch under his own power. Bayern sporting director Max Eberl subsequently offered reassurance, claiming that Musiala was okay.
As per reports, Musiala complained of dizziness, circulatory problems and feeling feverish after the match. Temperatures in Munich were around 30°C that day, with heat considered a possible contributing factor. Musiala also played all four of Germany’s matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scoring once.
