Rahul Gandhi praised Jharkhand government-student agreement, said this is the right way!

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi has expressed happiness over the end of the hunger strike of students in Jharkhand. Rahul Gandhi posted on 'X' and wrote, “An agreement was reached between the students of Jharkhand and the state government, and the students have ended their hunger strike – very happy to hear this news.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren and the Jharkhand government chose the path of talks and found a solution. The students maintained restraint and got their point across. This is the right way. If students ask questions, they should get answers.”

After the announcement of cancellation of JSSC CGL examination in Jharkhand and all the examinations conducted by TDPL agency, an agreement has been reached between the students and the state government.

After the announcement of cancellation of exams, state government ministers Deepika Pandey Singh and Irfan Ansari reached Ranchi Sadar Hospital late night to meet the student leaders sitting on hunger strike. Both the ministers ended their fast by giving juice to student leader Devendra Mahato. After this Devendra Mahato went straight to his home from the hospital. Along with this, the fast of Habiba and Rahul was also ended.

Speaking to the media after breaking the hunger strike, Devendra Mahato said, “We ended our fast in an honorable manner. With the joint initiative of Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari, Minister Deepika Pandey and our MLA Jairam Mahato, we decided to end our hunger strike. All the demands for which we were protesting in a constitutional and peaceful manner have been fulfilled.”

Praising the government, protester Habiba said, “Our government has proved that it is the government of tribals, indigenous people and everyone and it thinks about their interests. Today we have realized this. They have proved that if there is Hemant, there is courage.”
