CM Vijay wakes up at 4 in the morning and calls ministers, close minister reveals big secret

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay works for about 18 to 20 hours daily. This claim has been made by Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) minister and a very close associate of CM Vijay, Aadhav Arjun. He told that the Chief Minister's day starts at 4 am in the morning, after which he starts continuously taking information about the work of different departments and ministers.

Take feedback and updates directly from ministers

Speaking during India Today Tamil Nadu Conclave, Aadhav Arjun said that Chief Minister Vijay himself monitors the functioning of different departments. He calls ministers early in the morning and takes updates on the work going on in their departments and important issues. According to the minister, the CM's entire focus remains on keeping the administrative work orderly throughout the day.

Called CM Vijay a 'political monk'

In a way, Aadhav Arjun called Chief Minister Vijay a 'political monk'. He said that since assuming the post, Vijay has been seen continuously active in the secretariat. He is always thinking about the direction in which the government should be taken forward and how to find the right solution to the ground problems of various departments.

Special emphasis on stopping corruption and financial leakage

The minister further said that within the first 100 days of the government, special work has been done to stop financial leakages and make the entire administrative system transparent. However, he also acknowledged that the chronic problem of corruption among lower level officials is yet to be completely eradicated as it has persisted in the system for a long time.

Attempt to change the governance system from above

According to Aadhav Arjun, the state government is now trying to bring major changes in the administrative system from above. Chief Minister Vijay is repeatedly giving strict instructions to the officials that misuse of government money or financial leakage will not be tolerated at any cost. The main objective of the government is to make the entire system transparent and accountable to the public.

100 days of CM Vijay's tenure completed

Chief Minister Vijay has recently completed 100 days of his tenure. On this special occasion, a detailed report card named '100 Days of Governance – A Government for Generations' was released by the government, in which a complete account of the initial decisions of the government and the achievements made has been given.

There are still many big challenges before the government

Within the first 100 days, the government has worked on many fronts like public welfare schemes, providing assistance to students and women, farmers' issues, attracting new investments and curbing narcotics. Despite this, many difficult challenges still stand before the government like speed of fulfillment of election promises, Cauvery water dispute, maintaining law and order, improving the economic condition of the state and dealing with corruption.
