Neetu David joins UP Warriorz as scouting head

UP Warriorz, on Wednesday, announced former Indian spinner Neetu David as its head of scouting on Wednesday, through a post on social media platform X.

The 48-year-old will be part of the support staff led by Abhishek Nayar, who took over as the head coach of the franchise last season. She was one of the seven players shortlisted for the ICC Women’s International Player of the Year Award in 2006.

Neetu has featured in 10 Tests and 97 ODIs in an international career spanning 13 years – from 1995 to 2008 – picking up 182 international wickets.

Neetu also holds the record for the best bowling figures in an innings in Women’s Tests, having claimed 8/53 against the West Indies in the 1995 Jamshedpur Test. She had previously served as the chairperson of the selection panel for the Indian women’s national team.
