Mallikarjun Kharge, said – Why is Narendra Modi silent on 'offering theft'? National security should not be ignored at any level

New Delhi. In the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that we are meeting for the first time after the conclusion of the Parliament session. We have to reflect among ourselves on some very burning issues. He said that the biggest point of our collective concern today is the youth. It has been 80 years since independence but the situation in many important areas is getting worse instead of getting better.

The wrong policies of the government have pushed our youth into the quagmire of great despair.

Kharge said that India is the youngest country in the world and youth are our future. But the wrong policies of the government have pushed our youth into the quagmire of great despair. In the race for communal frenzy and rave culture, education and employment of the youth have been neglected the most. He said that on this occasion I would like to especially remember Rajiv Gandhi. Tomorrow is his birth anniversary. While in the government with a strong majority, he had kept the youth at the center of his policies. With the intention of giving a bigger role to the youth, Rajiv reduced the voting age from 21 years to 18 years. A network of Navodaya Vidyalayas was established in every district of the country.

The process of celebrating Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary as National Youth Day started during that time. In the National Education Policy which he prepared after extensive brainstorming, he linked employment and skill development with degree. He said that women and weaker sections got a special place in it. Our subsequent governments took these things forward. Under the UPA government, everything from right to education to the creation and development of institutions gained momentum, but when youth is discussed, many of our friends do not put forward these things strongly, even though these are our biggest achievements.

In the last 12 years, Modi government has destroyed the future of the youth, 94 thousand schools were closed.

Along with this, IT and communication revolution is also a big achievement, which gave strength to 21st century India. Since independence, it is due to the extensive efforts of the Congress that affordable and accessible education has been provided in the country, which has opened the way for socio-economic development for the poor and weaker sections, but in the last 12 years, the Modi government has destroyed the future of the youth. Instead of new schools opening, 94 thousand schools have been closed in recent years. Due to privatization, higher education is becoming increasingly expensive and out of reach of common families. RSS people are increasingly taking over educational institutions.

Even in this situation, when an educated youth goes out in search of a job, he faces paper leaks, scams in recruitment examinations and delays in appointments. In this, the worst condition is of poor and weak status children. That is why the anger that has emerged among the youth across the country is not of a single day. This government never had the time to listen to them. The government kept looking for some temporary solution every time to avoid the problem. Therefore he was forced to take to the road.

Congress has taken their problems in its agenda. Rahul Gandhi has put their views on the national platform through the program “Echoes of Students”. Even in the Parliament, we all tried to have a comprehensive discussion on the question of education and examinations. The atrocities committed on students should be discussed and accountability should be fixed. But Modi ji and Amit Shah ji kept avoiding questions throughout the monsoon session. Now he has started speaking but instead of the questions of the youth, he is giving importance to non-issues.

He said that now the time has come that Congress should prepare a clear, comprehensive and time bound Education-to-Employment Roadmap for the youth to prepare for the future. Friends, similarly, another important question related to the trust of common people is related to Ram Temple. The issue of huge scam in Ram temple is resonating among the people. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the formation of a trust in Parliament for the construction of Ram Temple. After careful consideration he must have kept his people in trust.

Kharge said that common people gave donations, gold and silver wholeheartedly thinking that the trust has been created by the Prime Minister and hence the work will be done honestly. But a huge scam has come to light there. People are asking questions but Modi ji is continuously silent. The country wants to know how much offering came there, how much gold, silver and other valuable materials came there? What is his account? This matter will not end just by sending a few small people to jail.

He said that the more BJP diverts this issue, the deeper the doubt will be in the minds of people. Therefore, Modi ji should apologize to the faithful public in this matter and answer on this issue. Friends, recently serious facts related to the encroachment of our border by China have come to light. The government should have spoken honestly on this matter, but as per its habit, the government has hidden behind the sources and declared these news as false.

Kharge said that we have a clear opinion that there should be no politics on national security. But national security should not be ignored at any level. The citizens of the country have the right to know what is the actual reality of our country's borders. After the Galwan clash of 2020, the country had heard the statement of the Prime Minister that “Neither anyone has entered nor anyone has entered”. Even after 6 years, serious questions related to the border are being raised but the government is not giving clear information.

The army is doing its work very well. We salute the passion and enthusiasm of the soldiers. Our question is to the government. We have to ensure accountability of the government in democracy. Friends, the future of the youth, the faith of the people and the boundaries of the country – there is only one question at the center of all three: Is this government worthy of the public's trust?

In today's working committee meeting, we will have to seriously consider these issues and also present options, policies and solutions to the country. We trust that all of you will pay attention to these things. Because we have elections in five states immediately in front of us, preparations for that have already started.
