Along with this, high alert has been issued regarding heavy rain at many places in the districts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. During this time, meteorologists have issued warnings of strong monsoon winds as well as thunder and lightning.

On August 20, sporadic to widespread rainfall activities will continue in both eastern and western UP divisions of the state. Weather experts believe that the impact and impact of heavy rains may be more visible in the districts of Western UP.
Apart from this, the state may record a rise of 4 to 6 degrees Celsius in maximum temperature during the next three days. However, after this the temperature is expected to drop again by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius. At the same time, there is no possibility of any major change in the minimum temperature.

The Meteorological Department has issued warnings based on the sensitivity of the districts and intensity of rain:
- Red alert districts: Red alert has been issued for extremely heavy rain in 9 districts like Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Bhadohi and Mahoba on August 20.
- Orange alert districts: Orange alert has been issued in view of heavy rain in Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Ghazipur and Azamgarh.
- Yellow alert districts: Yellow alert has been issued for moderate to heavy rain in Rae Bareli, Amethi, Sultanpur, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Unnao, Kannauj, Hamirpur, Lalitpur, Jhansi, Jalaun and Auraiya.

According to meteorologists, there is heavy moisture in the atmosphere due to the combined effect of the Monsoon Trough passing through the Bay of Bengal and Jharkhand and the Cyclonic Circulation over Uttar Pradesh.
