Chennai. Tamil Nadu CM Vijay announced several schemes on Wednesday. Now in Tamil Nadu, the limit of treatment under CM Health Insurance Scheme will be increased from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. Apart from this, milk will also be purchased at a higher price. CM Vijay told in the Tamil Nadu Assembly that by increasing the amount of assistance under the health insurance scheme, the people of the state will also be able to get treatment for serious diseases. He also announced additional medical services for transgenders.

CM Vijay told in the Assembly that the government will strengthen medical and nursing education. Rs 351 crore has been sanctioned under this item. There is a plan to increase additional 6098 seats in government medical colleges of Tamil Nadu. Under this, 660 seats will be increased for B.Sc Nursing, 1925 in nursing colleges, 2778 in paramedical course and 735 in medical course. CM Vijay has also announced to establish 7 new government nursing colleges in Tamil Nadu. CM Vijay told in the Tamil Nadu Assembly that a 400-bed multi-specialty hospital will be built in Perambalur by spending Rs 300 crore.

Apart from this, Tamil Nadu government will now buy milk from milk producers at the rate of Rs 41 per liter. This will benefit 3.16 lakh milk producers. Till now milk was purchased from them for Rs 38 per liter. It has also been announced to increase the amount of government incentive to milk producers from Rs 3 per liter to Rs 5 per liter. Rs 360 crore will be spent on this. Apart from this, CM Vijay announced that all the MLAs will be given vehicles by the government. So that the MLAs can do public service and development work in their constituency in a better way. However, crores will be spent on these schemes. According to June figures, Tamil Nadu has a debt of Rs 13 lakh crore. Out of every Rs 100, 65 rupees have to be spent on loan interest and salary.
